Egg Harbor and its surrounding villages are packed with events and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Here are some of our favorites:
Peninsula State Park:
Peninsula State Park Peninsula State Park is a 3,776-acre state treasure on Wisconsin's Door County peninsula. Families will enjoy the endless activities from biking and kayaking to enjoying a picnic and some nature hiking or fishing. A favorite park activity is to take a bike ride on the five-mile Sunset Trail, which winds through lush forests, a flower-filled prairie with ongoing views of the beautiful lake. You can bring your own bikes or rent them at Nicolet Beach, Edge of the Park, Inc. (920-868-3344) or Nor-Door Sport and Cyclery (920-868-2275). The bike trail leads to the eastern edge of the park which is the site of the picturesque 130-year-old Eagle Bluff Lighthouse that visitors are invited to explore. Lighthouse Tours are offered every half hour from 10 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Egg Harbor Fun Park:
Egg Harbor Fun Park is the perfect family playground! With a large 3000 sq. ft. indoor arcade and game area, even a rainy day can't stop the fun. Complete with all of your favorite indoor and outdoor activities from miniature golf and outdoor water wars to Skee Ball, pinball and the best arcade games there is something for everyone and every age!
Schopf's Hilltop Dairy Farm for Family Fun:
Schopf's DairySchopf's Hilltop Dairy is a Door County family fun stop that's both educational and entertaining. You are invited to learn all about the Wisconsin dairy industry at Door County's largest dairy farm by experiencing it first-hand. Take everyone on a free, working dairy tour. Watch the ongoing milking operations, milk "Cookie" the cow and then taste the end result - 30 flavors of homemade ice cream in the Dairy View Country Store Ice Cream Parlor. Don't stop at the delicious ice-cream. You have to go through the coolest designed corn maze. Within the maze there are three optional games... based on finding specific locations shown on the maze map. Uniquely shaped paper punches await the players at each of the destination points. Players are expected to find all of the stations and punch their cards as proof of completing the maze games. Some players even compete against the clock.
Scenic Door Country Trolley Tour:
What better way is there to explore the breathtaking vistas of Door County than with an "Old Time" Trolley ride. Traverse the land and learn about the legend and lore unique to each area. Hands On Art Studio:
Hands On Art Studio is a “do-it-yourself” Door County destination, offering patrons a freewheeling walk-in art experience. For a low studio fee, guests can choose from a huge variety of art projects including fused glass, metal sculpture, mosaics, and a wide selection of wood, metal and ceramic pieces to paint – all fired, grouted or finished for pick-up the following day.
